About Sheikh Zakariya
Sheikh Zakariya was born in Garissa County, Nairobi, with the blessings of Allah and the guidance of his father, Qari Hussein, a renowned Qari of the Quran in Kenya and around the globe. From a tender age, Sheikh Zakariya displayed an extraordinary aptitude for memorization and a profound connection with the holy Quran.
Under the loving guidance of his father, Sheikh Zakariya embarked on the journey of memorizing the Quran. With dedication, perseverance, and divine assistance, he successfully memorized the entirety of the Quran, becoming a Hafiz at a young age. His accomplishment was not merely academic but a spiritual milestone, marking the deep-rooted faith and devotion instilled in him from childhood.
Driven by his passion for knowledge and faith, Sheikh Zakariya delved deeper into Islamic studies. He immersed himself in various Islamic disciplines, studying under esteemed scholars to broaden his understanding of Islam’s teachings and principles. His pursuit of knowledge was relentless, fueled by a desire to serve his community and spread the message of Islam.
In addition to his Islamic studies, Sheikh Zakariya pursued higher education, recognizing the importance of balancing religious learning with worldly knowledge. He pursued a degree in Accounting from a prestigious university in the United States, showcasing his commitment to academic excellence and personal development.
Upon completing his education, Sheikh Zakariya returned to his homeland, equipped with both religious and secular knowledge. He sought to contribute to his community’s welfare and spiritual growth, drawing upon his expertise in both Islamic teachings and financial management.
